I’ve been sick the past few days so I have just been Netflix binge-watching. Re-watching Miss Fisher and starting Poirot…. but I will probably switch over to The Fall. Anyway these are some of my clear drawings. I may clean up the rest. I have SOOOOOOOO MANY. I keep trying to draw Miss Fisher dancing but she always ends up looking like a magicians assistant. >__<

Color comp I did last week. I changed the ratio of this piece for the final to be more widescreen. I always used this ratio even though I’m not a big fan of it…. habit I guess.

One of the gray-scales I did yesterday. Still have a few things to adjust in the final but now to start the color.

Arabian Knight

A Moebius inspired Arabian knight for today’s Sketch_Dailies. Trying to get back in the swing of posting daily sketches. I kind of lost track after two failed art tests and doing work for the CGMA class I’m taking. I still haven’t posted much of the work I did in the last class…. I guess I should probably get on posting that work.

A color study from a photo. Trying to mimic the style of Maynard Dixon, a stylized western painter from the first half of the 20th century. I’ve been looking at his stuff a lot today.

My friend's film "Edith and The Bear"

So I shared this on my Tumblr a while ago but forgot to here. During my last year at San Jose State I got to be part of my friend Hillary Bradfield's short animated film "Edith and the Bear." It was a great and very large group of people I got to work with and it was fun. I got to help by painting backgrounds and animation shots for the film.

Quickly finished up an old sketch of Poison Ivy from ages ago. She was one of my favorites when I was growing up from watching the animated Batman series. It was so good.

My Skyrim character

I really want to play Skyrim… this is what I remember my Skyrim character Lia the Redguard looking like. But Steam no longer works on my computer anymore so I can’t play. Just a late night doodle.

Quickie afternoon self-portrait. I was trying to see if I could do something really quick.

A bunch of faces.

All those faces I drew a while a ago I painted like all of them... in color. My original intent was to take five for each character and do really quick grayscale paints, but I went different direction with the characters and I decided to paint these all as practice. I'm not gonna lie some are bad but sometime you are gonna do bad art as long as the next one you do is better is all that counts. I will upload a few every couple of days so here are the first three.

A couple of comps for one of the environments for my personal project..... and the only reason I'm uploading these is because I decided today that I'm probably going to not do this environment to full paint. A little too Dr Who-y if you know what I mean? Which was a little bit Lovecraftish anyway..... But I'm not sure yet anyway.... if I decide for sure not to do this one I will upload the rest of the comps for this environment in a couple of days. Anyway, the reason I haven't uploaded in a while is because I only want to upload the pieces for it once everything is portfolio ready.... But I may upload like each section at a time because the characters are almost all done and just need polishing.
